Re: Streaming via browser will no longer be available after October

I agree. Not only was I having this issue months ago, but in addition to it when I tried to view something on my MacBook I now receive a message telling me my browsers security feautures are not supported. And that I need to download the latest os. Why? If I can stream video from Netflix, YouTubu, various  free websites.. why can we no longer view what we have paid for ?

They want us to use data on our phones, max that out and the tablets too like you said. And I agree. Re: Streaming via browser will no longer be available after October

This is the most absurd thing ATT has done. I signed up after repeated assurances that PC streaming is possible and was using it and now it is gone. Not sure who with any right frame of mind in ATT would make decisions to take away stuff they have for no good reason.

(I came across this forum today. I have given feedback to support many times in the last couple of months)

ATT support above seems to parrot the same stuff that app is available on iOS, Android, Amazon OS. So can you all let us know how we can convert Windows to iOS etc ?

Re: What happened to the Uverse programming guide on the internet?

If U-verse wants to stream only through an "APP", then why don't they have one for Windows 10 in the APP STORE? Why is there an app for iOS, Android and Amazon devices but NOT for Windows 10? Does a Windows 10 APP not open up in it's own window and not in a browser? I can not watch TV on a small phone screen. I do not own a tablet and will not be purchasing one just to be able to stream live TV. I do NOT want to be forced over to your UNLIMITED DATA PLAN or to DIRECT TV. I will be looking for other options for future entertainment needs.

Re: Streaming via browser will no longer be available after October

Thank you for your comment if only for the fact that misery loves company but mostly that I am not the only one who has noticed or cared about this. Not all AT&T bundled customers have a TV in every room! Sides I would have thought at least 90% of U-verse users were viewing on laptops. But see very few comments on this.

Where is the customer care to move U-verse to action? At least a discount is in order, for no longer using a service that I for signed up for and and still pay for. Comcast offers the "laptop" as a "device" still in there offerings. Think a good time to check them out again.

Re: Re: Uverse.com No Longer Available online

I am one of the many who have been long-time, loyal AT&T customers, and who is looking at any kind of workaround to rid myself of this uncaring corporate giant with terrible customer service.  The latter, in the form of phone support, was very good up until about a year or so ago, when they switched to oversees call centers with terrible line noise, call center background noise, poorly-trained reps, and on and on.

Looks like the giant corporations are going to get a huge tax break on the backs of people like you and me.  We should demand they make major improvements in service and in call center support.  Oh yeah, let me not forget to mention that Customer Service is not only not available 24/7, it is not available at all on Sundays.  Breathtakingly unconscionable.

Take a look at history to find out what's going on in this country.  Here's a shout out to Gordon Gekko.

Re: Online Streaming Ending after October 2017 ?!

At&t stopping the pc streaming is all for more money a lot of people including myself use my laptop/desktop pc's as an alternative to a tv or I put the display threw a tv, A: At&t wants you to rent additional set-top boxes for each T.V. for more money and B: At&t is trying to get all traditional U-Verse Iptv customers to migrate over to their DirecTv platform because as U-Verse is an iptv provider they have to individually stream every channel you request/want to watch live or record to every set-top box which uses quite a bit of bandwidth versus cable or especially satellite where they can beam down every channel on a one way signal and it doesn't matter if they have 1 customer or a billion their requirements for that do not change thereby drastically reducing the bandwidth they need for every U-verse channel being requested at&t then only has to stream on demand type requests over their internet links to homes, that was one of the reasons At&t purchased Direct Tv ontop of being able to cheaply and quickly drastically increase their coverage area for Tv customers instead of having to run fiber to premises or at least to neighborhood hubs to then bring it via dsl to customers premises because traditional dsl's quality goes down dramatically the further you are from their central office. As far as them pushing customers to Direc Tv I won't be making that switch in as much as I've had Direct Tv years ago and Dish network and know current customers of both services and they absolutely despise satellite no matter what provider they have and quite a few that have gone back to cable like comcast or RCN because the reception is horrible on satellite I live in the Chicago Suburbs and get wildly different kinds of weather and from light rains to heavy storms or a dusting of snow there constantly a loss of signal either completely or it gets very garbled/choppy and the installers that came out to install my UVERSE both said they have traditional iptv UVERSE and absolutely not switch over to Direct Tv thats at&ts own workers stating that satellite is THAT BAD and coming over from 30 plus years being a comcast (cable tv) customer to having UVERSE for almost 2 years now I Absolutely love At&t UVERSE its the most reliable Internet/ TV/ Landline service provider I've ever had when we've had horrible thunderstorms or blizzards with crazy winds everybody with comcast near me have had numerous outages where as I have to say I've had 100% reliability with UVERSE never ever having a problem or outage I HOPE at&t reads these threads because you've gained a life long cable tv customer to your UVERSE service and a customer that is extremely satisfied with your services and I've recommended your service to everyone and with 11 people that transitioned to UVERSE from cable or Satellite that love your service as well, but they definitely would drop At&t if there going to be forced over to Direct Tv and either will go back to cable or cut the cord and go to some over the top tv provider rather than being stuck with satellite so I really hope AT&T pays attention and would rather have our traditional Uverse service dollars than to lose all that money completely, Sorry about the long rant but I felt somebody needed to lay it all out for the good of everyone.

On a Commercial for Upgrading from the U300 to the U450 package. "And enjoy it Anytime and virtually Anywhere with the Uverse App."  In that Commercial shown on Dec - 6 - 2017 the shot displayed about the Uverse App was from left to right .

Cell Phone .. a monitor ...  (then it shows) a Laptop Computer (false advertising) ........ (next another) monitor (maybe a TV)

Re: Online Streaming Ending after October 2017 ?!

It is not fair to force a "mobile only" solution to those whose primary method of online/streaming is via web browsers on their computers.  I travel frequently and rely (well, relied) heavily on the ability to watch/catch up on my movies and shows using my laptop.  I have no desire to buy a tablet just to download an app to watch my programs, nor do I desire to have to watch my shows on a small smartphone screen.  I get wanting to be mobile, but don't discount those who are not solely reliant on mobility.

Re: http://uverse.com/uv/guide

Is there an app for Windows 10 devices? I have a Surface Pro tablet/laptop and since the website link to watch live TV is no longer available, there is no way to watch live TV on my windows devices.
