I watch TV shows on my laptop connected to a large monitor every night while my husband is in the family room watching his shows on the big TV.  This is how I watch my TV shows using the "My Favorites" to bookmark my favorite TV shows.  I logged on today and there is a big banner that says streaming in a browser is ending after October.  And instead, they want me to download their app and use a mobile device. I don't watch content on a device - period.

I watch my shows on a BIG monitor.  I don't watch TV "on a little screen".  Never have and never will.

Dropping the "U-verse Live" content and the "My Favorites" content is a huge take-away for how I watch TV every night!

They tried to do this once before and the outcry was HUGE --

Please, AT&T - reconsider your decision.

It makes no sense to me that they would drop this, unless it is to force people to buy a tablet from them.  I wouldn't watch on my phone.  My husband is frequently in his office and uses this to watch football games, etc.  What is the purpose in taking this away from customers?  Please respond, AT&T. Thank you.

We need a Windows 10 app.

And, for that matter, what about Safari or Firefox? Or are you just eliminating anyone who wants to watch on a laptop or desktop? If so, why would you do this?

Hi,

AT&T is trying to mobilize Uverse TV so after October you will only able to watch the TV only using the "Uverse App"

Slogan : anywhere, anytime Entertainment on the go.

But still you will get best option of unlimited streaming for eligbile AT&T postpaid customers.

Thanks, AAriyan.

Doesn't help.  Windows users can also just as easily be mobile and  on the go with tablets.  I see no reason to take away something that works.

And in case it was missed, there  was a UWS app for Uverse and it too was pulled.  I didn't write anything at the time but should have.  Reason being I evidently incorrectly assumed browser would continue to be supported for Windows users.

I have the app  for Fire TV. Unfortunately, I can't watch MSNBC with the app, which is the only channel I want to stream. Thanks, ATT, for taking away all possibility of streaming MSNBC.  I'm getting less and less for the high price I pay for uverse.

Did anyone notice the note that recently started appearing on the streaming screen for UVERSE that states that "Streaming via browser will no longer be available after October"? I just confirmed with their technical support and starting November 1st it appears that UVER VOD or Live Streaming will ONLY be available through the IOS, Android or Amazon App. This effectively eliminates the possibility of watching VOD or Live Stream from verse on laptops or desktops. If this is correct, it sound like a very stupid business decision. To assume that streaming is ONLY viewed on those types of devices is extremely narrow-minded. I stream regularly on my laptop and desktop computers and if this option is not available to me, I will probably have to look into switching to Xfinity!
