HBO Go login

I have been trying to log into HBO Go, but I keep getting a message telling me my subscription does not include HBO Go, which it most definitely does. I have found a few people on here who have had the same problem in the past, but no answers. It does it on both my PC and my Android tablet. Any thoughts?

So, I fixed my problem, but I'm sure the solution won't work for everyone. I was trying to use the hbogo app on my phone and ipad at my girlfriend's house. With both devices, without even entering login credentials, I received the 'you aren't subscribed to hbo' error. I tried clearing my safari history, cookies, even uninstalled the app and reinstalled with no success. I spent a total of about an hour with ATT and Verizon, as both said the problem was with the other. All of a sudden a light bulb came on when I realized my girlfriend had ATT internet, but Directv tv service.

Continued from previous post...... Hbogo uses much more security than other streaming apps such as Netflix. Somehow, the app looked at the ip address / connection and used that info to determine that my girlfriend wasn't subscribed to uverse. I corrected the situation by turning my wireless off, and opening the app in cellular data mode. When I used cellular service, I received the login prompts and connected immediately. I then turned wireless back on and everything worked like a charm. This process should work for anyone using a wireless connection other than their home router. I hope this info helps some of you guys.

Has anyone found the solution to this? I've tried everything from calling AT&T techinical support to calling HBO...(there is no HBO cusotmer service) This is unbelievable. I've tried logging in from my iPHONE, XBOX ONE, and ROKU, all of which is get the same response "you're at&T accound does not include HBO".

 

Any ideas? P.S. I know that my user name and password is 100% accurate because I am logged into AT&T's site right now.

Was this issue resolved? I have been having the same issue since February of this year. I recieve an error message saying I am not subscribed to the premium channels that I am definitely subscribed too/paying for when I try to log in to any third-party applications - HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, and StarzPlay. I have been on the phone with customer service twice since February, and I cannot get a resolution. Since this issue applies across multiple premium channel providers, I am thinking it is a Uverse issue.

 

Please resolve or at the very least communicate with the customers who are paying for premium bundles and waiting for this functionality to be addressed.

An AT&T service rep called me back tonight, and my access has been restored. To all having trouble with this - it appeared to be a mapping issue of some sort with my account. Maybe telling the reps that will help you! Good luck!

I'm having the same problem. I spoke on the phone with AT&T for an hour and a half, and they weren't able to help at all. The tech support person didn't even understand what HBO GO is. This is unbelievably frustrating.

I agree. I was forced to cancel it seeing as it’s not worth it if i’m limited to what is “on demand” or currently showing on TV. And they wonder why people borrow other peoples HBO login information…unreal.

If you having these logon issues with HBO Go and are an subscriber with U-verse High Speed Internet and U-verse U-450 or the HBO package, then please click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your issue with your account authentication with HBO. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope  in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your name and avatar) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

Hi @kdprodukshins and @HBOGOProblem - see @JefferMC's replay and try telling them it's a mapping issue. If you have ShwotimeAnytime and StarzPlay, I would also try to log in to those as well to verify that it is not HBOGo by ATT. I did not have access to any. The rep I spoke with found it was a mapping issue with my account and fixed it. Good luck!
