When I sign into my uverse app, and try to watch a live show from the guide or a show on demand, it says that the parental controls need to be changed from the master account. ??? I'm confused because the account is in my name and the apps and sign in info is all in my name. Where is the master account? How can I fix this to watch live shows from the app?

I am also getting the same message and tried the steps above. It does not work. It also doesn't work on my husband's phone, both Pixel 2. However, we are able to watch on our IPad .Is this an error or app update needed?

I am unable to watch live tv on U-verse Ap. The Ap requires parental code. I am retired and no kids in the house so I opted not to have parental code restrictions. "Live TV is disabled due to parental control restrictions. Parental controls must be updated using the master account." I changed parental code to my favorite 4 numbers to see if having a code would allow me to watch live tv on the app but then the app told me my favorite 4 numbers were incorrect. I really appreciate AT&T trying to offer what I had with Xfinity - let me know when it is working.
