First this is for wireless broadband not Uverse VDSL (hard lined TV, internet or VoIP) service OR for hard lined ADSL2+ (internet, VoIP) services.

For info on the AT&T 4G LTE wireless internet and phone.....

Sorry hit enter to soon but here is the snipit from the article that article that I was talking about.
However, Taylor said she did not know the type of service AT&T plans to offer, such as mobile Internet or for fixed locations, but called the telecom giant “much more advanced and more quickly able” to roll out new services. That section is why I did not know where to post my question. Believe it or not I talked to a ATT rep in chat and showed them the thread they said it was a uverse issue. At any rate I'll post it in the wireless forum

Re: Sorry hit enter to soon but here is the snipit from the a...

A landlan based provider of broadband services will be either an ILEC or a local CLEC.

The ILEC or incumbert is who owns the physical wiring while a CLEC is someone leasing the physical wiring.

AT&T owns physical wiring in 22 states (soon to be 21 as Connecticut is being sold to Frontier) but none in Virginia.

Possible ILEC for the Northeast US could be Verizon (combined Bell Atlantic, NYNEX, GTE 2000), Century Link, Frontier, Windstream.
