transferring program information to new DVR

Due to some technical difficultys with my current DVR I was shipped a brand new one to plug and replace. Is there anyway to transfer the progrming information without having to do it manually?

Series programming should auto load on startup. What is lost is previous recordings.

Will this also be the case when doing a ''hard reset" on the DVR whitout replacing it?

@ttreman - There is  both a destrructive & non-destructive hard reset. The non-destrructive keeps the recordings  & the destructive, does not.

I know that there are two types and I know how to do both.  I know that the destructive one will erase my my recordings.  I need to know if the destructive one will also bring back my series list (to be recorded).

If you replace the DVR or if you do a hard reboot, scheduled programming is kept intact.

It's kept on the ATT server, so it's automatically repopulated at all times. 😉
