Uverse app stopped working on iOS7 iPhone 4
I've had the Uverse app installed on my iPhone 4 running iOS7 for some time. Yesterday when I went to use it, I was propted for my credentials and once I provided them, got the following messgae:
"App expired. A new version of the U-verse app is available. This version is no longer supported" along with 2 buttons, OK and Get Update. When I click the Get update button, I get taken to the App Store. In the App Store, I am only given the option to open the app because the current Uverse app that is in the app store requires iOS version 8.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem. The AT&T support person's solution was to get a new phone. Gee thanks for that advice.

The solution is right there in your post.
"Uverse app that is in the app store requires iOS version 8."
If you are looking for another version that will work on your iphone using iOS version 7 you won't find it.

I have the version of the app that supports iOS7. It has been instaled on my phone for months and has always worked nicely. I don't want the iOS8 version of the app, I simply want AT&T to undo what it recently did on the backend end to stop the app from working.
