$200 Rewards Card Redemption EXPIRED?!! HORRIBLE Customer Service!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with AT&T today. Let me first say that I am a VERY loyal AT&T customer. I have been an AT&T wireless costumer for about 5 years and I am a U-Verse customer that is about to move her services to a new address. When I first signed up for AT&T Uverse back in February of this year I was told I was going to receive a $200 rebate/rewards card. Which I assumed was just going to be mailed to me. Nothing came. It wasnt until a couple of months ago when I received a reward notification for a $10 Visa Card, that I realized I had to redeem my card online. I NEVER received notification to redeem. In fact, I was never acknowledge as a bundled customer and had to call in to have my discounts manual entered EVERY MONTH until May 2013. This may be why I never received the Reward notification in the mail. I called AT&T today to try to fix this problem, and I was spoken to very rudely and was told it was too late to redeem my card. I was NEVER told how the rebate system works, I NEVER received award notification because I wasnt acknowledge in the billing system as a bundle customer until more than 3 months later, so how was this my fault? I even told the customer service rep that if I was going to be treated this rudely that I wouldnt move my services and would cancel all together, but she continued to rush me off the phone. I have NEVER been treated this way by an AT&T employee and it was VERY frustrating. I have always been an advocate for AT&T's great customer service and relationship skills, and this was VERY disappointing.

My issue was resolved.  Instead of the original gift card I was given a credit to my bill equal to what the gift card should have been.

@footman101Why would you say that?  @JefferMC has been around for 7 years.  I've been almost 9 years.  Is that a problem?

It defies words.

 

I got a rewards card from my latest upgrade.  I need to make sure I use it before the end of this month, or else it'll be my fault I didn't use it before the expiration clearly printed on the card.

I had the same experience. A 200 dollars reward card that never came. Really NEVER CAME!!! And now it "expired". I called today they are not even trying to help the customer about the issue. They don't really care about the customer. I was transferred from one department to the other, including the rewards center, just to give me false hope and even acting like they can't hear me anymore. Really be aware!!!

same here. in fact I have been on the phone with At&The a1 hour and 24 mins and still going. I have been on hold for 40 min from the last transfer which was 6 the transfer today only. I don't know own how much this reward visa debit card has. but I have been called at & the for 2 moths to resolve this. First, they said it was already expired I needed to contact direct tv. I called direct TV and they said they didn't even issue such a thing. I called reward center and the automated voice kept saying my card can't be activated because it is expired. I called at &t the about this. they transferred me to Reward center again but by the time I got transferred I got message saying their business hour is 7pm central time. I was so upset and my bp was going higher. this has been going during last 2 months. can't you believe this??? I was treated like a hot potato tossing here and there without resolving any issues. no one seems tof empowered to resolve customers issues or complaint. just tossing.... I am still being on hold now... if At & T maintains their business, please look into customers experience!!!!!!!! worst ever in my life.

I signed up with At&t for my landline and Internet in March 2016. I was promised a $200 reward gift card after 2 months in the program. Just yesterday I called At&t and spoke to customer care, supervisor, Reward center rep, and her supervisor they were so rude. Hung up on me and when I called back they pretended to transfer me but disconnected the call. It's a pain calling back and explaining myself for the 5th time. I was told a supervisor was going to call me back in 10 minutes and it is now 24 hours later no phone call back. I was told the same thing that they mailed a letter in regards to my reward and I was supposed to sign the paper and mail it back to claim my $200 reward. As of May 16, 2016 it has expired and until now I haven't received my $200. I am still a loyal customer of AT&T. For a large company to hire rude representatives and offer a reward that expires. Why not email all customers? I bet if this is the company policy they've kept millions of money. Please me resolve the problem. I am considering my options of going to do my business elsewhere.
