showtimes displaying wrong time for the East Coast

Cannot believe that after almost 6 months AT&T has not been able to correct the "showtimes" that are listed as CMT time instead of EST - I have been grand-fathered in with the 100 selection - so I do not have a DVR - and must tape - and also - at least with Optimum did not have to leave tv turned on - just about ready to leave - any idea when this problem will be corrected - not sure what the "tech" people do!!!!

I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

These folks will get to the bottom of it for you.

"If you find this post helpful and it solved your issue please mark it as a solution.  This will help other forum members locate it and will also let everyone know that it corrected your problem. If they have the same issue they will know how to solve theirs"

It's a common enough problem for anyone not in Central Time.  I don't know why they haven't fixed it either.

What sounds like a simple fix, more often than not isn't.  Where I work at, all of the system changes are rolled into updates and the updates only happen three times per year (for us): Spring, Summer and Year End.  If a certain type of a change and is found in October and it does not affect year end (W2's Taxes and such), it may be the March release before it gets changed.  I've heard that AT&T rolls fixes out like that too.

You would think they would push out a priority fix.

I'm sure that the fix is not as simple as it might seems; otherwise, the fix would already be in place.

True enough - but I do hope that it's at least on AT&T's radar, for a fix.

It would probably get more attention if it affected those in Texas.

True enough.  AT&T has it's corporate headquarters here in Dallas, and Texas has more U-verse TV subscribers than any other state.

In fact, when you think of the states where U-verse is available, there would be more U-verse TV subscribers in the central time zone than the other time zones.  Thus, the majority of U-verse TV customers are not impacted.

SO, has it been confirmed that it is CT issue?  i.e., when texasguy37, BeeBeeSA, oufan and so on, do searches, or click more showtimes, are the times correct?  I had assumed (wrong of me, I know), that the listed time would be off an hour for all.  What are folks in MT or PT zones seeing, when using Menu -> Search or More Showtimes?

The issue is that the search results return the time on the servers as opposed to the time in the time zone where the customer is located.. The servers where the searches are performed are located in the central time zone.   Thus, the issue is confined to customers located outside of the central time zone.

I'm located in Dallas, which is in the central tme zone, and I have never seen the issue discussed in this thread.

A note that this occurs whether searching using the Menu Search feature, or when using the More Showtimes feature from looking at a program arrived at from the guide.

I wanted to make a note reminding those in this thread that it wasn't limited to Search, but also appeared via this other path.
