charge on my bill

charge on my bill

If this has already been discussed, please forgive me...I just found this forum and just noticed a charge on my bill that I am curious about...

why does ATT charge for broadcast TV?  Aren't those the supposedly 'free' local channels?

Thank you,

Re: charge on my bill

If you want to get "free" broadcast TV, I would suggest that you get an antenna.  The only FREE TV is OTA (over the air).

If it's delivered to your home via cable/cat 5/coax, you'll have to pay for that.  These 3rd parties (Uverse, Comcast, TWC, Dish, Direct) have to pay so those costs are passed on to the consumer.
