Yahoo keep rejecting my email password? Uverse "fixed" several times. It is doing this again

What is causing Yahoo to reject the password for my secondary email account? I have had AT&T "repair" or correct the problem three times. The last time was a few hours ago. How does it get fixed and who can fix it so it stays that way?

I have bnot had any problems until last Friday when out of the blue my Ipad, Iphone and Outlook emails refused to accept my password.  After reading this forum I changed my password and that did not help at all.  I still have no email  except for the ATT.net site.  I am getting so fed up with this that I am about to change to another Internet and TV provider.

Unfortunately, my new gmail account isn't recognizing my AT&T password either so I'm stuck at the "In gmail download all your at stuff" step.  rassafrassa.........gettin' ready to give AT&T the boot, this is just stupid, shouldn't be this much trouble involved in using my preferred email client to manage my email!!  Complaints about this problem are all over the AT&T forums & the interwebs in general, & have been ongoing for literally years now, and AT&T STILL hasn't got it together to offer a solution to the issue.  You really couldn't ask for a stronger indicator that it's time to switch to a different provider.  To anybody experiencing this issue & reviewing these forums for the first time - take it from someone who has been suffering with this for over a year now and has read and tried every AT&T and external forum solution; who has been through AT&T tier 1 and tier 2 support; who has contacted Microsoft and Apple and been repeatedly told it is a known AT&T issue; (I know, I should have bailed on AT&T long before this), There IS no solution to this problem.  The best thing to do is fire AT&T and go with another provider.  It will be easier than the hours you will spend to try an solve the problem yourself, all to no good end.

I have had this problem sevral times now and I did find a way to fix it. Not sure if it will work for everybody but it worked for me. Go to https://login.yahoo.com and log in. Then go to the email app. Up in the top right of the screen you will see a small person icon labeled Member Center. Click that and it will ask you to sign in again. Once you do that you will be in your Yahoo Profile. Under the "Sign In and Security" section there is an option to "Manage Apps and Website Connections" Click that and you will get a list of any Apps connected to the account. Click the remove button next to all of the apps to remove the links. Then you can either go back to the main screen or just sign out. Now try resetting your password or using that last one that worked before it started geting rejected. This has worked for me twice now. Somehow my account keeps getting linked with some website and it prevents you form logging into the server.
