Why does my 2210 modem DSL light suddenly turn red causing my internet to suddenly stop working?

Why does my 2210 modem DSL light suddenly turn red causing my internet to suddenly stop working?! I have U-verse internet which worked fine for the first few years. Suddenly I started having trouble loading pages. The page would freeze and then I would see the activity light go out. The DSL light would then turn red. After a little while it would turn back on only to repeat the red light process. I have heard that the 2210 modem is faulty. I am even having trouble posting this. What's wrong?

First off, does not help to cross post to multiple forums, so it is best to just post one time regarding an issue, in the appropriate forum. Second, if the DSL light is going red, that mans you have an issue, and you should contact Tech Support regarding, and open a ticket. If it is just a one time issue, could be that there is a temporary problem in your area (ie someone hit a cross box, utility pole, and the techs are working on the issue), there is work going on during the maintenance period from midnight to 5 am, and the light is going red during these hours.

If it is a long term issue, call Tech support, open a ticket and allow them at least 48 business hours (Weekends do not count), to allow the appropriate techs to get the ticket and investigate. If still having the issue after five days you filed the ticket, follow up with Tech support to see what is going on, or Private message ATTCustomerCare, by clicking on the blue envelope at the top right hand corner.

Stimpy: So what'll happen?

Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?"

Mine has been doing this too. I have internet and cable and the cable goes through the internet so when my internet goes out my cable also goes out. It happens throughout the week but mostly on Sundays when I am trying to do homework. I am a college student paying approximately $100 a month for these services. This is very frustrating. I've tried unplugging my modem for 10 seconds or what ever and it doesn't help. I can't wait for my contract to be up so I can switch.
