We really like the AT&T service but love the horse races more!  We're going to have to switch to TimeWarner Cable if they don't get it back!

To all TVG Horse racing fans!

Show ATT that you are unhappy with them at dropping TVG Horse racing sports network by writing their Corporate Office {Inappropriate content removed}. If you cancel because of it, please let them know the reason why! Thanks!

Re: Why did AT&T Uverse drop TVG Network?

Now there are three separate threads about TVG. Could TVG be the 2013 version of The Hallmark Channel? I would hope the moderators combine all three threads in order to clean up the forum a bit.

Re: Why did AT&T Uverse drop TVG Network?

The only reason I knew about the TVG Network was because of the similarity to the name of the TVGN channel.

I knew it was there because I had to check the box to hide it.

My husband loves the TVG Network and likes it better than the HRTV! For one thing TVG has different tracks than the HRTV and second, they have more information about the horses and their past performances! You can bet online with TVG as you watch it! Our contract with ATT is up soon, so if they don't put TVG back we will be switching back to Xfinity! Too bad, ATT will lose a lot of TVG Horse racing sports fans!!! Smiley Sad

That's right all 6 of you unite and demand the channel back.

Re: To all TVG Horse racing fans!

Wow.

What is so hard to believe about someone signing up for U-Verse on the condition that they have the (enter name of channel) channel and being disgusted when, after considerable time and effort (and maybe a 2 year commitment), said channel is removed. It might not be illegal but it's certainly bait and switch.

Arguably, Time Warner is neck and neck with U-Verse in Columbus, OH which really says something considering they were many lengths behind just 5 years ago when U-Verse was fast out of the gate. It's unfortunate for subscribers of TVG (or the NHL Network or Hallmark or if you want digital subchannels or a Wireless "N" network) but it's possible, just possible, that in the world of cable providers, TVG-watchers backed the wrong horse. For me, Total Home DVR is the only part of U-Verse that gives it a leg up on Time Warner, but whether that will be enough to go the distance remains to be seen.

Bait and switch?  No, all TV providers have the right to add or remove channels from it's channel lineup.  It happens with all TV providers.

Do customers have to happy when this happens? No, but it's a reality of having a paid TV service.

Re: To all TVG Horse racing fans!

I think what ought to happen, is get the complainers back to reality by pulling the plug on any pay TV service, install an over the air antenna, and make them watch that for 3 or so months.  Once they have done that they will gladly take what is offered with the provider they choose.

The 'ol saying goes....You don't know what you really have until you don't have it anymore.

I know some have their favorite channels but gee wiz.

Re: Why did AT&T Uverse drop TVG Network?

Wow was I shocked; this is the main reason we went with this "service" which over the time we have had it has been less than 2 stars.

I have a horse that is running today, and I would have been able to see him from home here in IL, but when I went to turn it on, nope, no more.

If someone can please help us: we have been calling ATT now for going on a year regarding what one of their 15plus dudes in the vans that come out called "dangerous".  Two summers ago, we had a bit of a tornado go through our area, not like the one in the recent area south of Chicago, Bless their hearts, but what is going on is that the actual wiring for ATT has been swaying lower...and lower..and lower...and now a large part of it is laying in my expensive large blue spruce tree, and the area where the wires are has now killed the tree area. I have a degree in horticulture, and also had someone I know from a tree nursery look at this, and said our tree is worth approx. 2K.  Then after the wires come out of that particular tree, up they go into a higher forked area of the tree, and our poor trees (we were told this by the guys in the vans from ATT) are what is holding up the wires for the neighborhood!! Part of the wires that are hanging over our driveway have become so low an average height man can reach up and grab onto them. This is dangerous. We have had, as I said, the service dudes that come out in the vans, it took them six months to get someone from the construction dept. out here to even look at it, then it took, oh, perhaps another five (give or take a month) months to get a guy out here to take photos. I managed to get the regional managers personal phone number/name, etc. and I managed to get him out here. Could not believe it!  He then promised me this would be taken care of immediately, and guess what....yep, have not heard a THING from them at all. I really thought I was going to get somewhere when he came out.

Additionally, this is the VERY first time I have posted on here. If that info. needed to go on another part of the forum, sorry, but I have just had it with ATT to the point I do NOT feel like perusing the forum to post it. For what we have paid them over our time with them, and what their equipment is doing to our property, I do not feel like looking throughout the forum.  And yes, again, today, another hour on the phone with 'customer service' LOL, who I had to tell what part of their screen to look at to see the notes, etc. that the guys have put on our acct. when they came out to put in their reports over the numerous times they have been here, from the guys in the vans to the regional manager. She had no idea how to find the notes for our acct.! Unbelieveable.   Looks like ATT is going to be buying us a new blue spruce. If this is customer service, give it up! Cat Mad
