Re: Why can't my land line number be ported from AT&T?
I am trying to port my ATT land line number out to another wireless company. I have been told by the wireless company that ATT needs to update their database, but can't figure out how to do it. They tell me they contact ATT two times a week but don't get a responce. I called ATT and tried to find out if the wireless company was telling me the truth. I was transferred four times to different departments within ATT. The last person I spoke with told me she would not tell me anything about my number because I had requested it be released to another company. I am now about 9 months into this process. I want MY number. I found this forums site while researching how/where to make a complaint to/against ATT. I have sent a message to customer care via this forum and am hopeful I can get to someone who does know what is happening and can help me. If anyone has any information that can help, I sure would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.
