Why is it that my Logitech Harmony One wouldn't be able to control the U-verse DVR? I have it programmed to control all my home entertainment, including over the air TV. The tech on chat said their remote is required to be used. I don't understand why.

I am not sure why he said that I have a Harmony One programmed for my living room and it controls my STB just fine if you enter the coorect make and number of the STB it should work just fine.

mercator1 - You asked your question to the wrong company. At&T has no real reason to know about Logitech Harmony. Logitech wants you to use the Harmony for all your devices & will go out of the way to help you. You do not even need to talk to anyone. Anyone can look it up on-line.
Since you already have a Harmony, you could have just gone ahead and programmed it. If you have a problem/question the phone CSR actually helps. Thats what happened when I recently added a new TV to mine.

I wasn't asking AT&T about how to set up the Harmony. I simply asked the make and model of the DVR I was going to be receiving, so that I could program my Harmony correctly, and the CS rep said "you'll have to use the AT&T remote, as the DVR is set up to work with only our remote codes". They seemed like a ridiculous statement, and I was sure that wasn't true.
