eZAK - Let's start with no and see if we can find some partial "working"

The Sony cannot be connected to the U_verse line signal and tune a channel because they use different protocols.

But, the Sony manual does say it can be used with a set top box. But, it does not list inputs. Please post the inputs available. If it has one that matches the U-verse STB output, it can work in that mode.

The last issue is using the Sony to change channels on the U-verse STB. If it has an IR blaster (probably it does) and it supports the u-verse IR code, that too will work. You can check with Sony on what STBs it supports. You will probably need them to provide the code.
