Sales, Customer Service and U-verse

Sales, Customer Service and U-verse

I'm three weeks into my journey with U-verse. It is a great service all around and I'm looking forward to just what this broadband gateway into the future will hold.

However....

I still have a major unresolved issue. My old phone number has not been ported to U-verse and I have a temporary number. Already, I have received multiple sales calls on this temporary number for telemarketers across the country as well as the strange calls with no one there.

Anyway, reps tell me I have to reestablish service with my old provider so they can port the number. My old provider says that the line is available to port. They tell me that I should advise ATT to ask for a "Level 3 escalation."

Does anyone have any advice on how I might get my old number restored? I see from various posts that this is an issue with many users.

Re: Sales, Customer Service and U-verse

I suggest that you click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your issue with porting your number. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.
