Weird, weird problem: One ONE of my new wireless boxes after I pause a LIVE program (say...for a phone call) when I UN-pause it, there is NO audio...nothing, nada, silence. I tried channel up/down and it's even muted on other channels. And it doesn't happen all the time...maybe 1:5 times.
No amount of adjusting the volume will work. It's like it's on mute. The only way to get sound again is to turn the box off and back on again.
Thank goodness this is on the least used TV so it's not that big of a deal but it IS an annoyance and it disrupts my ability to pause a program.

skeeterintexas - IR corruption is certainly a possibility. I experience corruption of FF or play into chan up/down.
Do you have a remote that you can program to control the STB sound? The next time it happens use the remote to send avolume up or mute. If it un-mutes, it is IR corruption.
While I was typing this post I was looking at my STB. I have the blue light covered with a kind of duct tape that I got in home depot in the electrical section. It is designed for easy removal - to be used for temporary fastening. Its surface has little ridges. I was surprized to find it has a degree of transparency when I put it over the lights.
I started thinking that it would be a great filter for the IR. I just tried it over the IR sensor & it worked great on all button presses. Musc more reliabe - no searching for the sweert spot. FF through the ads in an hour show, without once changing to a chan up/down.

I have experienced the same phenomenon. I didn't really understand the reply you received to correct this situation. If you have resolved the issue, can you please let me know what to do on my end?

Can you explain your response and assume that I don't know what STB or IR mean. Also, could you include more details, please?

Skeeter have you tried doing a hard reset to that STB? I suggest doing a hard reset to the RG and the the STBs. It could be corruption in the software, and this wll cause the software to be redownloaded into those devices.
