Remote Not Functioning Correctly

Two of my 5 remotes are not functioning correctly. They both started having problems at about the same time.

 

When the TV is on and the cable box is on, I press the power on/off button and the AT&T mode light flashes and the cable box turns off. The TV mode light flashes but the TV does not turn off.

 

With the TV on, the cable box on, and the AT&T mode light is pressed, I then press the volume control and the TV mode light flashes, but the volume does not change. The GUIDE button and the channel change button work as they should.

 

I have already tried the resetting of the remote using the 9 step guide found on the AT&T website. That does not work.

A better option might be to use the help menu.  Press menu and go to the help section, then there is an entry to select for programming remotes by the remote type.

 

When you reprogrammed them were you able to get the TV to power off so you know the code you selected was the correct one?

 

If they still don't work, I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

 

They can get replacement remotes sent out to you.

HardingR - Did the two remotes get mixed up? If you have not lost the programming after trying reprogramming, they may work on the other TVs.
