Remote Control Down Volume
Edited by Taylarie on Sep 22, 2013 at 6:03:25 PM

I have 3 remote controls, all with this same problem.  I am able to turn down the volume on two of them,  sometimes, when pressing extremely hard.  Others in my family don't have the strength to do this.  It's extremely anoying.  They are all the basic model.  Why buy another remote since it will probably do the same thing?  I have never had this kind of problem with other systems.

I suspect you have older silver remotes, not the newer black models.
This would indicate have had servixefor a few years, the remotes are classified as consumer equipment.
You may order new remotes at $20 each, shipping i believe us free.

In addition you may purchase harmony logitech remote

Do not buy another. Contact ATT and tell them you want replacements. My volume would go up but not down. Then, the up volume quit. This happened on all 3 remotes. Now, the mute button does not work on one and the power on/off does not work on another. This is for the silver remotes.
