Power 45 Availability

Power 45 Availability

When will Power 45 be available in Dallas? And if it already is, then why can't I get it. I have Max Turbo at 24mbps since U-Verse was available in my area and I've been with U-Verse since it rolled out in Dallas. I have been a long standing customer with AT&T U-Verse and they should show some appreciation for us that have been with you since the beginning. They have been so stuck on making money and not all about their customers. New customers get better pricing than I do and I've been with them since the start. Offer your existing customers the upgrades first and promotions to keep them with your company. This has really had me thinking of switching providers if AT&T doesn't step up their plate.

Re: Power 45 Availability

I recently got bonded pair done to my existing U-verse account of three years and am using NVG589 modem.  I was wondering if there was any way to upgrade my connection speed from 18 to 45mbps.  Thank you so much.  By the way I would love everyone to recognize the tech that made the switch for me.

Sadath was very helpful in investigating this issue for me and once it's available to me I'm going to upgrade.

Oacaraveo, if you were placed on bonded after 3 years, your on a longer loop was probably a 25M single pair install with issues , you new bonded profile is still 25M maintaining the max available internet speed of 18M.

To verify my suspicion, may access your gateway and post screenshots.

If I am right on this then then 45M profile is not currently available to you till additional future Uverse changes are made.

I just upgraded to power45 internet speeds over the internet and it says that my order has been completed, but I've had no technicians at my house and I upgraded from 18mbps is this normal or does a tech have to come do upogrades such as modem and wires? thanks

Re: Power 45 Availability

Do you already have a NVG589 AT&T Router?  If not then something is wonky.  Power 45 HSIA requires a tech visit to connect 2 pairs and install the NVG589 router.

If you need additional assistance I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

They can look into your situation and take the appropriate actions to insure your service is installed and operating correctly.

Re: Power 45 Availability

I live in Fayetteville Arkansas and am currently on the Max Turbo service. Is there a plan to ungrade our local internet connection speed to 45MB?

I was looking at other features today and it allowed me to add power 45 to my cart, does that mean it may be available in my area? (I was logged in and making changes to my account.) I din't know what it was because they added $99 installation and I assumed it was just an office switch over but now I see it isn't. I currently have max turbo 24. I am in zip 95357

Thanks

Alan

Re: Power 45 Availability

$99 for the 589NV modem because the Power45 requires a bonded pair. I am trying to figure out how to get around that...xD

Re: Power 45 Availability

Not only for the 589, but because your run from the NID may not already be Cat5e cable with both pair connected end-to-end and an installer will have to make that happen.  Also, the installer will make sure both pair can carry the 28Mbps necessary all the way back to the VRAD.

JefferMC,

Thanks, I don't have an issue paying the $99, it sounds like it can be much more work than that. I didn't know what the power 45 was and didn't want to pay $99 for someone to flip a switch in the office.

Thanks

Alan
