Has anyone successfully done this. I am holding off on disconnecting my verizon service for one last ditch effort to make this happen. I have called Verizon and they have indicated the number can be ported. I go to my current ATT Uverse account, twice so far, and they indicate they cannot port the number. Same area code and area in the dallas/ft worth area. I have been on the phone for many hours and no one can help. Any ideas before I give up and disconnect my verizon number?

I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team. One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly. Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.
One of the guys will get it handled.

Did the problem resolve. Let me know the solution as i have the same problem for over 3 weeks to port my number from Verizon to AT&T Uverse

I was told to wait until the 26th (after 3 weeks) and on the 27th, i am been told to wait for another 5 business days. looks like there is no solution except frustrating the customer
Every PM says that there is No Problem and it will be done
anybody else having a similar or same problem and had any solution, please let me know

New Development is that the Supervisor of the call center named Mike has asked me to write a letter to the corporate office in Dallas, TX with no name to address as he does not have a name or email ID or a telephone number, just write a and send a mail to the corporate office
Cant believe people sitting in customer service and can say this
I have made a big mistake of coming to AT&T and plan to cancel the service since AT&T CANNOT resolve the problem

I have complained to the FCC on the gross incompetence of AT&T. I hope AT&T will feel the pinch at the bottom. If not, thats the way AT&T is, so all the people out there, this is the experience you get from AT&T
