No, but your NVG 589 is displaying that you have two pair. Each line is a pair.

i have a stupid question, why would you want to? looks like you have opted for the 45meg service which is uanavailable over single pair,

What I meant was, sometimes only line 2 is up but not line 1. Could I run U-Verse off of line 2 when line 1 is down because I don't like having no tv and internet for a period of time

Are you saying that your U-verse service is down when line 1 is not working?
It should be attempting to serve you using only line 2: there would be issues because it can't carry the same amount of data that both lines can, but you should not be dead in the water.
Also, line 1 should not be going down anyway. That should be fixed.

You need to contact AT&T either by calling AT&T Technical Support at 800-288-2020 or by PM by clicking this U-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your issues. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.
The PM reaches a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you. The phone number reaches a bunch of people paid to answer the phone.
