Packet loss during gaming
Edited by BitWar on Mar 29, 2014 at 12:30:45 PM

I am experiencing packet loss and intermittent connectivity issues when gaming. My 2Wire 3801HGV crashes and restarts when I start playing any kind of first person shooter or when I use uTorrent to download the latest release of a Linux distribution. I have tried forwarding ports as well as disabling wireless and using a secondary wireless router in place of the 3801's wireless. None of the many configuration changes I have attempted alleviate the issue. Is it time to get a 3rd party modem?

I just ran a line quality test. Is the 7th hop to 71.158.32.143 the issue?
