Order Processing

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm new to Uverse, just had it installed this past Monday 7/14. I bundled my TV/Phone/Internet. So far it's been great, the only issue is with the phone, I can make calls, but can't receive calls.

 

When I try to call my number I get a message that the number is no longer in service. I have just moved to Uverse phone from Vonage, and was told by AT&T this will be resolved once my order is completed, so here's my question:

 

How long before my order completes? I have a order processing with a due date for completion of 7/17, but as of today the 18th, there is still no completion, and it's now 5 days without receiving calls.

 

Other than this, the TV and Internet have been great! Thanks!

Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse phone porting service problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time, response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap.

Include your account#, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check for the blue PM envelope to appear, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck Smiley Wink

Update: It does help to send private messages to AT&T, thanks for the tip!

 

So I confirmed with AT&T they have contacted my old phone provider (Vonage) to request the transfer of my number, which was scheduled to complete on the 25th, I also received confirmation from Vonage they were scheduled to complete the transfer on the 25th.

 

Today is the 26th, and it does not appear the transfer is completed yet. At this point it has been 2 weeks and we still cannot receive inbound calls.

 

I am still keeping tabs on this with AT&T via PM, so we'll let you know! Thanks again!

To complete the transfer if number is released.

 

Call 1-866-315-5832, follow prompts... If transfer is completed will state so.

Make both outgoing and incoming call to verify.

 

And yes normally takes about 1-2 weeks to transfer once request made.

Thanks! I called the number and it did state the transfer was completed, however, still cannot receive calls. According to Vonage, they had scheduled to complete the number transfer to AT&T as of yesterday the 25th, also AT&T confirmed this as well, but as of today, this has not happened.

Good luck!

I have been dealing with the same issue for over a month now.

I was given a temporary phone number. But, that doesn't help. It's very important that we get our original numbers.

And I also sent a private message, which was received by the same customer care rep who replied to yours. But haven't heard from him since.

And still don't have my original number.

Yeah, the responses for my private messages have stopped as well. A few co-workers have told me the same horror stories about transferring numbers to AT&T from Vonage. One of them gave up and asked AT&T for a new number. I'm thinking about doing that, but I would rather have my original number, had it for more than 15 years, but if I have to give it up, so be it!

Received a private message reply, so for now we're going with a temporary number till this transfer issue gets sorted out.

My number has finally transferred successfully, took almost a month, but we got it...and $100 credit for my troubles! Thanks for all your help!
