No input signal after upgrading RAM

No input signal after upgrading RAM

After upgrading my Gateway E-2000 desktop to 2G Ram, there is no input signal.

The old sticks had 400mhz & 333mhz on them, the new, both 400mhz.

Would not connect to Windows.

When I changed back to the old, it would connect.

Is there a setting I have to change?

Re: No input signal after upgrading RAM

Are you saying that your PC won't boot into Windows with the new RAM, is that your question?

Re: No input signal after upgrading RAM

Sounds to me like you have a bad memory stick. If you put the old memory in and it boots fine and you put the new memory in and it doesn't load, simple deduction says that the memory is doa.
