NVG510 Diagnostic Test Fail IP

Why does the IP test fail on diagnostic full test and all others pass?

Is this a CO card issue in the CO that needs changed?

In a "check for open port check" it says modem can't be pinged. Is this due to the IP fail test meaning the modems IP can't be seen from the WAN inbound?

This IP fail test happens on 2 of the NVG510 Uverse modem/router combo.

Basically asking why this test fails, and what to do to make it pass.

Re: NVG510 Diagnostic Test Fail IP

I will have to go back to my moms house and do this, there isn't much to it if you have this modem/router it is basically a diagnostic test in which IP test fails and only note is saying gateway cant be pinged I believe.

I will post after i get back from there tonight.

Re: NVG510 Diagnostic Test Fail IP

I am having the same issue. I am setting up a Wordpress server on my NVG510 and I can not get the outside world to connext to the server if the default gateway is not working?!!?!?!? Am I wrong in this. What do I have to do to make this work. I have tried to reset the router and no go. I have to assume it is an error on ATT's end?

Need help!

Here is a screenshot from the IP Diagnostics test.

Re: NVG510 Diagnostic Test Fail IP

This does look like an issue between your modem and the AT&T IP network.

You could either

(a) wait, and see if it resolves itself,

(b) try the AT&T troubleshoot and resolve tool, or

(c) PM the U-verse escalation team.

for (b): https://ufix.att.com

for (c): Please click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your issue. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.
