My Scheduled New U-verse Installation

Hi,

My wife and are moving to Waxahachie,TX 75165 on 06-02, we are scheduled to get our U-verse service's installed the next day 06-03 between 11-1 . When I attempt to check the status of my installation order @ this site: »www.att.com/eos/unauth/eosLogin?···e=uverse
It shows my installation order as cancelled, but when I call the 1-800-ATT-2020 #, I'm assured that my order is perfectly fine and has NOT been cancelled. They inform me that the website has some kind of a 'glitch'..I ask the to PLEASE look into it because I'm sure I'm NOT the only one that's having the same issue. I'm getting the U450 TV package with the additional 'premium' add on ($7.00 per month), 45Mbps power internet, and digital phone unlimited services. It includes 1 DVR..1 wireless receiver, and 1 wired receiver. As really no other option's were available for me at the address of the home my wife and I are moving to..other than satellite, or VERY limited Charter service, I thought U-verse would be the best choice.I really hope in the very near future someone can correct the 'glitch' with the website !

If you want to be sure the install will occur, I'd contact ATT Customer Care here:
http://forums.att.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage/tab/compose/note-to-user-id/192773

Send them a private message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your install scheduling problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time, response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap.

Include your account#, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck on your install. Smiley Wink

Hopefully you don't have an install problem like I did 6 years ago, the power went out 10 mins before the prem tech arrived for the installation.

Obviously no install possible w/no power, they wanted to push me back another week or two, but I made a 'fuss' and got an install date 2 days later.  It went w/o a single problem by a great installer. Smiley Very Happy

Hi,

The Prem Tech showed up as scheduled on the scheduled day (Tues. 06-03-14 ), he understood the nature of the install that was supposed to be performed. That's about the ONLY thing that went correctly on that day, 8 hour's later..nothing was working correctly, ( tv,phone, internet ). He left without even saying goodbye, on that same day..a lineman was sent out to check on level's, etc., then the next day ( 06-04-14 ) yet another lineman was sent out. Then on the next day, a second premise tech was sent out. This one had more experience with U-verse. At least now eveything seems to be working pretty well, I'm paying fo the 'Power' internet speed, but so far..the highest download speed that I can get has been arounf 21 Mbps. I'm roughly 50 ft. from the AT&T 589 gateway/router. I was told.."hopefully at a later date, I'll be able to get the level of service I'm paying for..45 Mbps Download".

Yep, that's it.

You have a 55 Mbps/6 Mbps connection profile now.  All that remains is for them to give you the 45 Mbps HSI Power Tier (if they haven't done so already).

How did you test to get 20 Mbps?  Did you do so wirelessly, 802.11g or 802.11n?  Can you try it wired for comparison?
