Perhaps because none of us here on this forum know the answer.  I've heard it......rather pleasing, harmonious, relaxing sound.....but, as far as I've been able to determine, nearly totally devoid of any melody.  A lot of the video is spectacular scenery......all the more so in big screen HD.

Re: Music on channel 1800

Is that what you watch on TV for entertainment?  I looked at it in passing and it looks like it is just a slide show of people's pictures.  I remember when friends come over and pull out pictures of their vacation how everyone has to go.  But each to their taste.  You must be very easy to entertain.

One could always use an app like Soundhound to determine the name of the song, as long as it is in their Database.

Re: Music on channel 1800

I too have been looking for the music -- one or two songs in particular.    I've tried the iphone apps (Shazam and SoundHound) to identify the songs when they air, but unfortunately "no matches found" is all I get.  Has the OP had any luck to date???  Why wouldn't this information be public?

Re: Music on channel 1800

About 4 posts up, someone mentioned a song and artist.  Of course it could be just a generic piece that AT&T bought, sort of like a "stock image," if you want to compaere it to a photograph.

Re: Music on channel 1800

Do you happen to know the name/artist of the piece on "Forests", starting at 14:40, with "Portland, OR" and running to 18:31, "Tohoku Reg. Forest, Fukushima, Tohoku, Japan"? I would really like to have this music in my collection. It is airing the week of 23 Nov. I tried Shazam, but it came up "not found".

End song on Northern California

I'd love to know the name of the song at the end of Northern California, sounded almost, but not quite, like the melody of Lucinda Williams' Sweet Old World. Beautiful, even the wife liked it (rarity)

I tried to Soundhound several and only got one hit.  So that tells me that they may be some store bought pieces.  Even some shows like Dog the Bounty Hunter have the track / artist name in the show.  That again tells me that the ch. 1800 ones are stock / store bought items.
