How can we order a site inspection to determine Uverse availability?

Hello!

 

We are attempting to switch to Uverse but am being stymied by our house showing in the computer as not covered, yet we've had AT&T local service techs tell us that we were ....

 

Part of the problem may be that our physical address is tied to a location 1/8 mile from our house.  That is if you use GPS to drive to our house, you'll drive past it and almost end up in the lake.  And yes, there isn't any telephone service at that location.

 

We are on a dead end street and our next door neighbor has had Uverse for a year plus.  We both get our telephone service from the same VRAD on the street.  Both houses are essentially the same distance from the VRAD and the lines go directly from the VRAD to our houses - no looping through the forest (as we are surrounded by 30+ acres of woods). 

 

The customer service staff have been trying to help but they appear to be stymied, so I was hoping someone here could provide a little boost of assistance.

We live in Stratford CT, all if our utilities has been connect to Bridgeport for the past 10+ years, across the street is Bridgeport! They are eligible for uverse a sales rep came to sell uverse and said we are able to get it. Well because our address is Stratford the company said we can't! Why is AT&T not sending an installer to actually come out and try connecting it... I will stay with Optimum less of a headache..Att needs to get it together before you sell something!!!
