Horrible Service

This is the 5th problem I have encountered with ATT in the last 4 months. I can not stand the service. My DVR has the signal cut 24/7 and the internet is extremely chopping. I demand a supervisor contact me. I lost all my recordings twice on the DVR, along with knowing the fact that ATT cheaps out on the router by keeping them G band and splitting the bandwidth between the internet and the TV service. They should be separate so this does not happen. I constantly have my speed tests drop below 10 MBps due to recordings on the TV. If this was a good service, these two components would be separate and faster. You get to call it high speed internet just due to the maximum speed rating, but in fact its really still DSL speeds. Please send me better equipment or lower your price on my contract.

Re: Horrible Service

You should have done your research, its a well known fact that watching and recording HD shows will slow your internet down as TV has priority over internet. Should it be seperate? yes, is it? no. Will they do this just to please you? no.

If you would like the escalation groups to call you then please click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your request. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

However, it may not be technically possible to make the bandwidth the way you want it.  As the previous poster noted, there is one wire that has to carry IPTV and HSI and the IPTV has priority.  But unreliable DVR/IPTV service should be correctable.
