DVR Time off?

DVR Time off?

I've seen the other posts about the time benig off and understand about the soft padding but this is a little different. Unless I go into each program I have scheduled and add 5 minutes to the end, I miss the end of the program. I've checked the time showing on Uverse against a couple of time of day service #'s plus two atomic clocks in the house and Uverse seems to be off by 2 or 3 minutes on each one. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

I have tried rebooting the DVR but that didn't seem to help.

Re: DVR Time off?

I"m in South Carolina. It's not a big problem unless I've maxed out hourly recordings, then that 5 minutes extra comes into play. Each day, I've managed to go in and extend the recording time by 5 minutes.

Maybe try sending a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

They might be aware of an issue or maybe something is flakey with your DVR.  They can run some tests and replace any equipment as needed.

I would suggest that you reboot your U-verse gateway along with each of your U-verse receivers.  After that, see if the times are still off.

I'm in South Carolina as well, and haven't noticed either problem (clock being off or missing the end of the recording).  I'm in the Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson/Asheville market and served by that VHO.

Are you in this same market?

Also, is this on pretty much any channel or just one or two in particular?

I'll make a point to check the STB clocks against my WVV-synced watch and report back.

Some have suggested rebooting the RG, and you said you rebooted the dvr also.  I don't know if you have done this, unplug the ac cable from the RG for 30 seconds and then reconnect it.  After it reboots do the same thing with your STBs as well.  This will cause software to be redownloaded into the devices and will replace the current software that may have corrupted files in it.

Re: DVR Time off?

I did check the DVR's clock against my watch and it was within the same minute.  I didn't bother to check the seconds.
