Cant get Uverse even when we receive direct mail

I live in a rural area with only satellite Internet available, so when I started receiving mail saying that I could get Uverse Internet I was thrilled. However, when I called to order, I was told it was unavailable. So I waited and called again a little while later, around 6 months. I was then told that I could get Uverse if I had a fiber optic cable laid from the road to my home. I said I would be happy to. They never called back and when I called with the account info, customer service said that they could not send someone out here and that Uverse unavailable to me. This make no sense and is extremely frustrating. My road has fiber optic lines, I receive mail telling me I can receive the service, yet I am told I cannot. This needs to be resolved

I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

 

Let them investigate your address and they will let you know if you can get U-verse or not.

With the information you have provided, you should be able to have what's called an address validation request set up for you, especially since you're getting the direct mailing telling you it's there. Most likely this is what will be done if you do reach out the customer care team here in the forum.
