well after reading pages apon pages of people having freezing problems, iv come to the conclusion that this service sucks monkey balls and i will be switching from crapverse to comcast.. ive had this crappy crap for the last eight months and was told i needed to re-wire the inside of my house thats less than ten years old with new cat5... i call bull**bleep**. ive had crappy phone line for ten years and after i tell each tech that ....

its always not the problem. im tired of hearing the family complain about the tv or internet not working all the time.....

a hundred and fifty dollars a month this crap should work... i also will be telling any and every person i come into contact with NOT to order crapverse......

that is all

I see you have only posted twice in the forum before you decided to drop the service.  You could have come here and ask for help/suggestions to get your issues resolved.

Unfortunately we had just as many poblems with comcast as you seem to have had with Uverse and we have had hardly any problems with Uverse.  So I felt pretty much as you do....except my ire was directed at Comcast.

I agree with RC.  If you had come to the forum with some details and questions, perhaps one of the very talented folks on here could had offered some help.  We're all just subscribers like you.

i suppose i could have, but i dint know that their service was you pay them 150.00 a month then its up to you to

find a forum and diagnose  the problems with att's service so that the customer can fix the issues themselves..

sounds like im wrong here..i mean i would never expect to buy a new car and have it work, the last one i bought i had to find a forum and diagnose the problems on my car then fix it myself cause the car manufacturer came out with a car that don't roll..

I have had U-Verse now since Nov. of 2009 and I have had no problems.  My house is not wired with cat5, I am using coax that was actually put in by the previous owner of my house over 18 years ago(and actually he didn't use the best - Radio Shack coax).   The installer was pleasently surprised by the signal I was getting in each room that I was getting a STB installed in so he didn't have to rewire anything.   The only times I have had freezes were when the coax or the cables came loose, and then I just tightened them up and all was working fine once again.

I know everyone is different, so I don't know what is going wrong in your house.   Maybe the connection to your house is bad, maybe your wiring is bad, maybe the U-Verse signal just isn't getting to your house very well (in which case you probably should change providers).  THe good news is you are not locked into U-Verse.   No contracts.   You are free to go to Comcast (who I moved from because U-Verse was significantly cheaper at the time).

Me personally, I have had no problems with the service &  I LOVE the Total home DVR so I am going to stay with U-Verse.

It isn't that way, but since you found the forum to post that you were dropping the service you could have asked for help like thousands of other subs who have found it.  You are well within your rights to drop the service, or return a car, or food, or clothing if you so choose.  But it is always good to find other users, subscribers, buyers of a service or product to get assistance.  IMHO

Hackey, I don’t blame you but how did they fix the freezing problem? Mine have been freezing really bad for weeks now! My installer has been here to check it twice now he has replaced the main TV box and today he changed the modem out and we thought it was fixed but low and be hole it froze again. I like the channels but I’m so fed up. Someone help me please I don’t want to leave but it’s not looking good for Uverse!  Uverse kept cutting off in the middle of a movie (VOD) saying program not available try back in 3 mins. Now that sucks…….

You might try starting a new thread and give any and all details that you can provide along with screenshots from U-verse Realtime (www.uverserealtime.com) of the IP/Profile, Bitloading and Coax/HPNA tabs. Be sure to go to the Configuration tab and select the option to Hide Personal Information (for screenshots) so that none of your personally identifying information is included. I'm sure that someone here will be more than willing to help if they can.

I also have problems with pixilation only on Premium on Demand HBO, CINEMAX, ENCORE etc. etc.  Only on some movies not all. Movie stops sometimes and says temporarily unavailable never to run again that day, the next or next week.  I would guess about 50% of the Premium VOD movies suffer severely where you do not want to watch it and 50% are all right-no problems.  What puzzles me is why doesn't the tech go on my computer and download this program to show what is wrong. He keeps taking readings from his truck. replaces the box, reboots the box and gateway, replaces the cabling and nothing works.  They are now completely stumped. I started a diff thread explaining in detail the problem but no answers or solutions as of yet.

Frustrating to say the least and if they don't come up with a solution in 2 weeks they can either give me a deep discount because I can't watch 1/2 of my premium movies on demand or they can comes and pick up their equipment and back to TWC it will be. Let me add the techs have been very courteous and worked hard but no solution is no solution.
