How do you know if you have received the update, Is there a message or are you guys just trying out the features that should be there, i.e pausing a non DVR STB. I am new to U-Verse so I have not been around for any kind of update.

You should notice a change in the way the channel guide looks.  Or you can press Menu on the remote and you should see some options for THDVR that were not there before.  FYI....this update does not allow for the pausing of live TV on the non DVR STB, the update allows for scheduling recordings and deleting recordings from the non DVR STB.

It also doesn't hurt to try and reboot the STB's if you wanna see if that helps facilitate the download of the update....if it is available in your area.

You also could go into Menu>Options>You may see Audio/Language options if already updated) anyways Menu>Options>System Options>System Information, and Client Version will be 1.6..25075.1 IF NEW UPDATE Done....Be Patient.  Cheers.  Griff

Got surronund sound today, but it does not work. I switched to HDMI, then switched audio option to surround, and no sound comes out. only if I leave it on stereo. ????? Thats when I use my HDTV's Speakers. If I turn on my Home theater system it works ??????. My HDTV is a 42" Vizio, and I had 5.1 with optical cable, but it is not working with HDMI????????

Anyone have any sugestions.????????

Phase 2 came to Taylor, MI, south of Detroit this morning.  When I don't have the guide on, and I hit enter, the only thing that shows up is english audio option checked, no zoom opotions. No big deal though.

I was thinking, maybe those of us who had uverse who've had Uverse before THDVR, had their phase 2 updates downlades automatically, while people who recently joined Uverse had to go through a downloading process to get phase 2.

Well, phase II hit St. Louis yesteday (if not earlier) and I must say that the "press record" feature to record the program being watched on my STB seems to maybe work! Yea... I don't know that it works for the update seems to have killed my DVR (it reboots endlessly near the end of the update and starts over). So time will tell.

I just signed up for uverse back in April.  I received the phase 2 update earlier this week and I didn't have to do anything to get the update.  I had walked away from the TV for a couple of minutes and when I came back the update was already in progress.  So to answer your question, no your update came through like everyone else who has gotten it in the past week, regardless of how long you have had uverse.

They launched something call U-verse Media Share (UMP) for areas being served by Austin and San Antonio VHOs... Im not sure why only few people are reporting having it.

North Natomas area in Sacramento (95835) received the update Sunday 6/30 night.  System settings confirms that I have Phase 2.  But, my MENU does not show the option to turn on surround sound.  So, I no longer have surround sound Dolby 5.1 from the optical out.  Tier 2 support sent out a tech person to my house for Thurs 7/2.  They said they may need to replace my stb.

Another post said they had to wait 6 DAYS to see the MENU changes.  I wonder if ATT even knows if I have a problem or not.  Maybe I should wait a few more days to see if the MENU magically appears?  Or, since my system settings shows the 25075.1 change I do have a problem if my MENU doesn't give me an option to turn on surround sound?

UPDATE?  HEADACHE!

The Sacramento area should finish tomorrow if your menu has not shown up by tomorrow call support.

So what about the rest of us? Do you know if they are planning on releasing this nationally? I am in CT and have been waiting patiently for this as the music channels they provide are pretty bad.....

I'm here in the Detroit area and still no update. With everybody else on the board from this area who already got it, I thought sure that last night it would've come and it didn't. Funny how it jumps around, skipping this house but, going to the house a few doors down or whatever.
