Is gateway.2wire.net working for you?
Has anybody noticed that http://192.168.1.254/xslt or http://gateway.2wire.net/xslt isn't working or is it just that it's not working on my end?

Works for me too Mark.

Had this happen to me a few months ago. I think I ended up rebooting the RG and all was fine after that. I'll see if I can find that thread. :smileywink:

I unplugged the power cord on the back of the RG for about 20 or 30 seconds.

I've never seen devices that require rebooting as much as the RG's and STB's outside of a MS-Windows device.
I typically only cycle the power on my Zyxel 642R once every 6 months or so.

I've never had to do anything to my RG, but it has done plenty to me.:smileyvery-happy:  STBs rarely get rebooted unless there's been a long power outage or an update.

Ok, I don't know what's up, but thought I could get some ideas here for sure.  I can get to http://gateway.2wire.net/ , but it takes almost five mintues to load.  Not having issues with other sites.  So, any idea why this might be happening?

Thanks for your help!

What do you numbers look like Mark?

Takes that page about 3 seconds to load for me.

Wonder if it could just be internet *indigestion* in your neck of the woods.

Yeah Pip, doesn't make any sense to me.  I've always been able to load it in seconds myself, but some reason it's the only page I go to that doesn't load quickly now.  Been happening for a few week now I guess.

Yep, have the update for quite some time now.  I can't think of anything I have changed to make it start happening.  My numbers are looking fine.  Speed is fine.  Just driving me insane LOL!!

My RG was having the same problem (except I use the IP directly since I use OpenDNS).  It seems to be fine for the moment though.

Oh well, like I said, it's got me puzzled.  I consider myself pretty good with anything computer related, but this one has just about got me stumped I think.  Hardest thing for me is NOT being able to figure it out :smileyhappy:

Maybe since KK was having some problems too, it's something along the route from your locations to that particular site?

I recall one time, there was a site several of us were trying to get into and no matter what happened, half could get in and the other half couldn't. Finally just chalked it up to a routing issue and several days later, everyone was finally able to get in.

Had several folks (those who couldn't access the site) do a tracert and it always timed out for them.

Oh the weird and wacky cyber-highway we travel :smileyvery-happy:

I had this problem for the longest time and realized it was because I was using additional dns servers on my computer. I have a macbook pro and sometimes I find the DNS servers that at&t gives me don't work very well so I add a couple public dns servers to my network device and this prevents gateway.2wire.net from resolving correctly (obviously because the additional dns servers don't know what the hell gateway.2wire.net is) .. Check your network settings and make sure the only dns servers you have on your pc are the ones automatically pulled from the dhcp server on the router/hg (should be 192.168.1.254 or something very similar) ... That's always cleared it up for me.

It would be worth a shot for sure.  I know how to get to my network settings, but can you tell me what to do at that point?  I'm not all that good at this stuff.

I get nothing for about five minutes, then I'll start seeing bits and pieces of the page.  Some looks like it's supposed to and then there are spots that are just red x's.
