Can't watch recordings on non-DVR STBs

I can set up recordings on my two non-DVR STBs, but when I try to watch recordings on them, I get the message:

"The Recorded TV list is unavailable.  Make sure this TV receiver and the DVR receiver are connected to the network."

I can watch them on the DVR just fine (and there are recordings there, so that isn't the problem).

Is this common?  How do I fix this?

Let me guess: soft reboot the DVR and the STBs.

That worked (for now, anyway).  I was also having a problem where my existing recordings were showing up as a blank screen (but they were "playing", because the options showed up when I pressed the stop button), but this was fixed by the DVR soft reboot as well.

That is exactly the procedure I would try also.  Just unplug the DVR and the STB's, one at at time, from power for about 10 seconds and then power them up again and let them reboot.  See if that helps.

Didn't even need to unplug them - a "soft reboot" (holding in the Power button for 6-7 seconds) worked.  (It probably had something to do with the RG losing its connection for a while when the AT&T techs were working on the phone lines to get me up to a 4/0 profile.)

Not common but not unheard of.  It normally means that the list is repopulating.  If the RG, the non-DVR STB or the DVR box has lost power or rebooted, the list must fully populate before you see the list.  It also may occur if any component has a loose connection.
