Not for getting to the router's configuration pages. Those are only accessible from the LAN.
You can program the firewall to allow outside traffic to other devices on the LAN, however.
Ok what about if i want to access a router that is behind the 3600hgv I did the port forwarding but I can`t find the page when I try to log in
If you want to access a router behind the RG, that router will have to allow connections from it's WAN port also.
all right I have the router working and I have access thru the internet, the problem now is that I can`t access the computer on this router, now remember this router is behind the 3600HGV router ,and here is the funny part I have two wireless access one with the 3600HGV router and one with the router behind the 3600HGV that I call bridge_router,if Im login on the 3600HGV wireless I have no problems I can see all my computers but if Im login on the bridge router wireless I can`t see any computer, do I have to make any changes on the bridge_router to see the computer (laptop ) on that router???? thank you you guys you are a big help.............
In general most consumer routers will not allow Windows networking (file and printer sharing) to go across the router from the LAN ports to the WAN port. Those protocols typically don't work properly over NAT.
I would recommend that you place all computers connected to one router, either the 2Wire or your own router, and don't mix it with some computers connected to one and other computers connected to the other.
how do i turn the wireless off on my 3600HGV router? I want to use it like a modem and if I use it as a modem how do I connect the modem to the wireless router thanks
Ok I got it, now how do i connect the modem to the router, the cable have to go to the wan or to the lan connection and what setings do I have to make on both modem and router thank you..
