Atlanta rec'd update last night . Concerns:Lost all favorites and blocked channels... all have to be reset also, how do we find out the details of the update (ie. punch list)? I would like to know if they fixed any other bugs or added any features or will this be a continuous "Where's Waldo"?
The Total Home DVR upgrade has arrived in Bakersfield, Birmingham, Cleveland, El Paso, Fort Smith, Lansing, Madison, Midland-Odessa, Monterey, San Diego, San Francisco, South Bend, and Topeka.
All U-verse TV customers can now also schedule and manage DVR recordings from any connected TV.
Does this mean that all have received the 5.1 hotfix as well? As of this morning in Cleveland, I've received the THDVR Phase II, but no updated to reactivate DD5.1.

"1.6.25075.1 Update Information: Description: UI changes and THDVR (Total Home DVR) upgrades
Noticeable Changes:
Ability to schedule DVR recordings on any STB in the house Ability to record the current program (by pressing Record) on any STB in the house Ability to erase DVR content on any STB in the house New program guide options (press Enter in the guide to access) Updated VOD, DVR, startup, and bootup screens, and a new color scheme throughout Local Government, Education, and Public Access stations available (inside Menu area)
Other Information:
Still no ability to pause/rewind live TV on other STBs, but the above work-around is easier since you may start the recording on the current STB and then go into the recordings to access it."
This list is compiled by Uverse users so the information is only derived by what people have observed and may or may not be complete or accurate.
From what I have read the audio hotfix which is sent sometime after the Phase 2 update contains the following:
Full DD 5.1 audio through HDMI
Fixes TOS Link (optical) loss of DD 5.1 after Phase 2 update
Fixes audio dropout problems in HD DD 5.1 audio stream
Adds new audio menu options to menu bar (allows you to select "surround sound" for DD 5.1 audio)
Phase 2 came to Taylor, MI, south of Detroit this morning. When I don't have the guide on, and I hit enter, the only thing that shows up is english audio option checked, no zoom opotions. No big deal though.
Not sure if this has been answered already, but we got our upgrade yesterday (Southern Sonoma County, CA) and I noted the same thing last night. It's not very intuitive since all you see is the Audio Option, but if you hit the left or right arrow you get the zoom options. I also noted that the aspect ratio on my DRV (only unit connected to an HDTV) had been reset to 4:3 after the upgrade.
Phase 2 came last night to the Cleveland suburb , Beechwood, OH.
It looks great!
Does anyone know if this upgrade fixes the intremittant HDMI connection issues that some televisions, particularly some Samsung models, have with their STB?

It appeared to have fixed the HDMI connection problem with my Samsung TV. I haven't had the problem since I got the update. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks Ken. Any idea on official corporate notifications?
I would hate to think I am the only one who has concern over updates without notification.
BTW, I also found that I had to reset the aspect ratio after the update. I am very pleased with the update.
Wishlist - *seemless updates* (from what I have read, this update seems to have been less painful than previous ones)

No idea, sorry. And speaking of official corporate notifications did anyone notice the notification saying that the Phase 2 rollout was complete.
I have read that some users needed to reset the aspect ratio after the update and some didn't, in my case it stayed at 1080i so I didn't need to.

There's never an official announcment before, always comes after it has happened here in the announcements section.
If you come here even semi-often, you'll see posts about an impending upgrade when it is immanent.
Edit: Very possibly a corp announcement early next week touting phase 2 features.
