Program to edit ringtone sizes?

Hello.  I have a LG Xpression and I am looking for a program that I could use to shrink the size of the ringtones so that they will be under 300 kilobytes.  Does anyone know of a program I could use to do this?

There is one called Audacity that you can use from your computer to make and edit your own ringtones. Just search the internet...I'm sure there are plenty out there that may be a little easier to use.

Here is an old post from sandspurious that will explain how to use Audacity.

I've also heard of myxer...although I've never tried this site.

 http://www.myxer.com/about/make/

There are plenty of apps out there to use to make your own ringtones for smartphones but, since yours is a messaging phone, they'd do you no good.

Hope this helps.

keep in mind if you "compress the size"; you may change the format of the actual ringtone. And when the format is changed your phone may not recognize the file.
