Weekly Off Topic Thread #312

My golly.....it's Saturday night already and no new WOTT started.   I've been kind of more under the weather than normal so have not been paying close attention.  On antibiotic medication to prevent what might be another pneumonia attack from grabbing hold of my lungs.  Really cannot afford any more of that junk.

Around these parts we're all waiting with anticipation for the Chiefs & Broncos football game tomorrow night.  Chiefs are only unbeaten team left in the NFL BUT....admittedly a great deal of the scoring has been done by the defense.  They need more from the offensive team.   And for the Broncos.......well.....there is always Mr. Manning.  I'm afraid....reliable as he is.....the Chief's quarterback just doesn't measure up to that level.   So....it could be a very interesting game.   As far as I'm concerned the Broncos' secret weapon is the altitude and Denver's thin air.  They'll be puffing on the oxygen bottles all evening long I imagine.  The Chiefs had a bye last week so they've had two weeks off.  In my humble opinion the team management would have been smart to move everyone out to the higher altitude at least a week ago and practiced there.  I'll bet they could have found a facility to practice in somewhere around the Denver area.  But....the team did not make the trip until today.

Oh well....we like the Broncos too.  Wife's brother lives in Colorado Springs.

Hey, maybe you can lend the Chiefs some of your traveling gear to help them "catch their breath" up there.Smiley Wink

Just another weekend around here. Spent about 4 hours coraling and then anhialating (blowing and mulching) my neighbors leaves Friday. They have a bigass maple between our houses that just shook off all it's leaves last week and if I didn't get to them they'd all be in my front yard now because yesterday and today has been pretty gusty.

Speaking of gusty. It's almost 70, gusty, rainy, muddy, tornado warnings, typical May 17th for northern Illinois....  oh wait a minute, it's November 17th.Smiley Tongue
