Well it's Sunday and no WOT so I thought I would get 'er going!! Plan on going and getting some bagged mulch for the beds in the yard and getting that in place today before the NASCAR race at Kentucky. Seems every year more disappears!! I guess it just turns into mulch as it deteriorates. If I don't have it the ground dries up so fast and I'm always out watering. With it I can water once a week and all stays nice and moist.

Here we are.....late April.....and we are expecting lows tonight in the upper 20's. Had rain most of last night and part of today. We can't seem to buy a decent, dry, warm day to get our new heating/AC system installed.
Now the "F" key is acting up on my laptop keyboard. I can fix most things on these computers but, to be honest, I have absolutely no idea how to fix this. I tried prying the key up slightly and hitting hitting the area under it with a blast from a can of high pressure air from a can.
But it did not help. Perhaps it's time to think about a new laptop. This Dell is 5 yrs. old and has had lots and lots of use. My problem is....I kind of want a tablet....but SSD storage space is very limited and super expensive. I've looked at a lot of laptop/tablet cross-overs but I've not found just the right one and those that come closest are horribly expensive. An almost 77 yr. old guy, in not very good health, probably has no business spending a thousand dollars on a new PC. But every time I hit the "F" key and nothing happens.....OR...I get a dozen "F's" in a row.......I come very close to using the "F" word.
The last couple of mornings....when I powered up this laptop....it froze and I got a long series of high frequency beeps & a diagnostic screen. Then, after it warmed up for a few minutes, it would boot up like normal. So this morning I turned it over....removed covers.....pulled out memory sticks and reseated them....pulled out the HD and reseated it.....used high pressure air to blow dust and dirt out of the processor heat sink.....then buttoned it up. It's working OK now but I won't know if I accomplished anything until Wednesday morning when I first turn it on from a cold start. If it still hangs.....that may be the deciding factor regarding whether to purchase a new one. I'm kind of kicking myself now because a month or so ago Office Depot had the Lenovo Twist on sale for $200 off the regular price.....and I walked away from it. Whatever I get......an ordinary tablet won't work for me because I want something I can use in my photography and it MUST be Windows OS.....probably the full Win 8. Not Win 8RT. I am using Win 8 on my desktop and have discovered that it is much better than a lot of folks would have you believe. Basically it functions just like Win 7......but visually it is different.....and in Microsoft tradition, the menus and commands are hidden in different places.
To be continued.......

I told myself I wasn't going to post this on the AT&T boards but I decided to cave since the race is very close.
I'm in a contest for naming a new salad bowl at a small chain of hamburger restruants called Mooyah. My entry is called "grazers" and currently I'm in first place by one vote. If you could go to this link and like the page and vote for my entry Grazers, I would greatly appreiciate it.
You are able to vote once every 24 hours so look for me to beg again come tomorrow.

My entry made it into the final four, but they reset the voting. I could use more votes again. You can vote once every 24 hours.
