Well, another Friday and another WOTT. Welcome to the beginning of the weekend folks.
Here it is, the middle of May, and it's been snowing for two hours, and they're saying frost tonight. I've already had to mow 3 times. Enough with this winter crap already.

where are you that you are getting snow in the middle of may?
I am in PA, we are only getting rain along with lots and lots of pollen. Everyone in my household has been sneezing up a storm.

~45 miles NW of Chitown and ~20 miles S of Wisconsin border.
Fortunately, because of the winter's extended deep freeze this year, all the trees and plants are a little out of whack, so they are not all doing their thing at once. There are some trees around here that are just budding and some that have fully formed leaves, and they're the same species and only a 100 feet apart. Not to mention, a lot of trashed ornamental/flowering trees, where only a few branches are flowering and the rest of the tree is toast.
This is definitely gonna put a crimp on all the birds we had here at our feeders just a few days ago.

Just keep that crap up north. I know it's been a wierd winter and in DFW we've had 90s already and just this week down in the low 40s to start the morning. It's crazy I tell you.

No LOL!! It's a company called Passport Transportation. The seller said that they were very good and took great care in loading it. It's in a covered transport trailer.

HOLY COW! (the word I wanted to use won't pass the filter).
Where do you drive a vehicle like that BeeBee? Bet the neighbors love you when you fire it up. I don't see any muffler. But maybe it is hidden. Everyone needs a hobby. Congratulations. I'll bet you've been saving for a while to pay for this baby. We both used to be sports car fans. But raising three sons took all our effort, time and money. So our cars were family type.....station wagons and vans. Boring right?
We are also sick of the winterish weather. Weve had 30 deg. and 32 deg. for succesive overnight lows. Poor vegetation doesn't know what to do. Well...the weeds don't seem to be bothered. Darn it. Actually our yard grass is so thick and healthy this spring that we are not getting very many weeds. We have a company under contract for seed, fertilizer & weed control. I just have to walk around once in a while and spray a few rogue weeds that poke their heads up. Seed probably blew in from the dandelion field next door. We're having to pay our grandson to mow our yard this year. I'm no longer capable to do it and currently.....until she gets through her breast cancer surgery......my wife cannot do it either. But she supervises the grandson pretty closely. Grandma is a stickler about just how that yard should be mowed. He earns every dollar for sure.
Thanks for starting the new WOTT, C.J. I hope all you good folks have a great week ahead & BeeBee.....don't put any dents in that new beauty.
Phil

Phil....believe it or not, it's street legal!! It has baffels in each zoomie tube to somewhat lower the sound. The seller told me it's still pretty loud though. I'm going to register it as an Antique and that way there is no yearly state inspection required. The only inspection required is the first one since it's an out of state car. The inspector fills out a state form that says it's street worthy, I take the bill of sale, old title, and the application for a Texas title and that's supposed to be it. Well, plus the tax money for the purchase. The plates are $50 for 5 years. Full coverage insurance is $294 a year.
My Grandson is the most excited. He's 5 and calls everyday asking if the car is here. I'm going to have to just drive it around the neighborhood to get used to it before hitting the streets. Need to get used to that car, steering, power, etc. Has a 454 bored 30 over with two 4 barrel carbs. Darn thing will probably get 4 or 5 miles to the gallon!!

More than likely the baffles are there to keep the flames shooting out to a minimal length so as to protect innocent bystanders from losing their eyebrows.
Starting to warm up a little around here. My birds are back and I got to spend an hour or so by the open window with the camera again. Definitely a cornucopia of species this year.
I'll try and get some pics up in the next day or so.

Sweet ride BeeBee. Saw a same model year yesterday in Kroger parking lot in Little Elm. Was blue with flames down the side, no top that I could see. Not nearly as much chrome and didn't seem to be as AWESOME as that one.

OK. I finally got some pics uploaded.
Sorry about the PQ, I was pushing a cheap camera past it's optical zoom.
This represents less than half of the different species we have visiting this year. Beside these we have the Jays, Cardinals, Nuthatches, Chickadees to name a few.
We've been absolutely lousy with Finches this year. For every one you see on the feeders, there's probably eight or ten more waiting in the nearby trees for a spot at the all-you-can-eat buffet.

WOW! That looks like it might be a handful. What engine? I'm assuming that is a blower, right?
