Okay, okay, it might be a dud but tonight could be the meteor shower of the decade. According to Spaceweather.com, it could be somewhere between a complete dud and a meteor "storm."
In the late 90's, there was a predicted meteor storm and, if you weren't socked in, it was spectacular. I had total fog with an otherwise bright Jupiter being the only thing visible. 25 miles away, a coworker said that there were so many, that her and her husband woke the kids to watch it. It could hit 400 per hour - that one hit 1000.

Nothin but clouds here, Dave. Darn it. I was looking forward to it. But, once again, disappointment. My little black cloud continues to hover and follow me around....literally.

You didn't miss anything, Phil. It was a dud. I saw specks that might have been a straight on shot of a couple into the atmosphere but Spaceweather.com said that there were many but they were just too small to be seen.
