Another "cool" front blew through Indy last night with a reinforcing short of cool air. Lots of wind and temps today in the 60's. Maybe some light frost tomorrow. We are still way down in the rainfall department but we got half an inch Wed. afternoon and that was as much as we received in all of August!

Is there not a rule about being ugly on the Forum Spd. 82 boo unless you share.

I wasn't trying to be ugly, and am cybersharing.
If the rain ever makes it here, we'll be having high 60's in the daytime, which is closer to normal this time of year.

29 and the freezing rain will start after midnight.
Looks like I best be building an ark for the upcoming week. They are already having flood warnings in Southern Ohio from the last rain and melting snow.

I think this summer, we'll all try to remember this and NOT complain so much about the heat.

Yep, could use some heat, humidity and some nasty biting insects about now!

Up to 2" rain tonight, snow tomorrow, and rain/snow mix through Tuesday.
Like to know where all this moisture's going to go since grounds already completely saturated. Flooding for sure S of here.

Awoke this morning to 32 degrees.....snow falling....both of us sneezing, coughing and feeling miserable. But duty calls so I got up and dressed...took Alfie out the door and, when he saw those huge flakes of snow coming down he decided to take care of all his duties right here in his yard. No walk this morning. Downside of that is that he got no exercise so now I'm feeling miserable and curled up in my recliner.....but Alfie wants to play ball and simply won't stand for dad dozing and feeling sorry for himself. Right now he's mad at me and has retreated to mom's lap where he is stretched out for a short nap.
As you can see.....lots of cheerfulness around our household.

Rain still didn't make it, and the Rodeo Trail Riders usually bring rain every year! Will be highs in the 70's next few days, still warmer than normal. Been very dry here.

I've got plenty of snow that I would love to cyber some to you Spd. It would/could provide all the water you need. Besides the weather people say we will get plenty more over the next few days so I have plenty to spare.

Appreciate the offer, but no frozen stuff, please. I think we can all agree this is one of the most messed-up winters in our lifetime!

We had a slight thaw today, and on most side streets in Detroit the snow melted down the the ground where the car tires travel. And so that there are two trenches with snow in the middle. Now, if the temps drop below freezing (do you think they won't?) the snow in the middle will turn to ice. Which does damage to the under side of vehicles such as tearing off exhaust systems to name one. I guess now we have to detrmine what states have the shortest winters instead of the warmest ones.

Interestingly enough lots of folks keep commenting that we're having an unusually severe winter here in the Kansas City area. The truth is we are really just getting back to normal after quite a few mild winters in recent years. People have short memories. Having said that.....I still hate it.
We got out and shoveled the driveway and part of the sidewalk this morning. Then retreated to the living room and spent the day curled up in our chairs watching TV and coughing and sniffling. Now they are forecasting more snow or snow mixed with rain again over the weekend and into Monday. Grrrrrrr!
At least the super cold temperatures seem to have left us. It's 25.5 deg. now. That is a lot better than the -12 deg. we had a month ago.
