So... "remote from reality" is what you're going for?

Re: IE10

My comment comes from the fact that there is still not an official release of IE10 for Windows 7.  They've released another "preview."

Re: IE10

Browser speed is a very nice thing to have, but for me there are other things that are considerations.

I still run Firefox, even though it's slower than Chrome, Safari, and the latest IE. I run it because it has tons of plugins that I use on a daily basis.

Until IE gets the ability to use plugins as well as the vast library of plugins that Firefox has, I can't switch to it, no matter how fast it is. Even Chrome doesn't have the plugins that FF does.

IE 10 is only in preview for Windows 7, it's included with Windows8

Re: IE10

I think shoe meant that you cannot install the preview of IE10 on XP or Vista.

Re: IE10

IE10 final version for win 7 sucks it is a little
better than 9 and faster but 9 was not very
good neither were 8,7 or 6
10 is a liitle unstable .crashes now and then way
more than the others page reliability could be better .
We used to call IE Internet exploder that could easily apply today
IE 10 has far to many compatability issues with
different web sites IE 10 still needs work .I think they rushed it
for W8 release should still be in beta it acts like it.

Chrome 26 is the daily driver here outperforms
IE 10 in every way except maybe a few Micro$oft
benchmarks .
Each tab is it's own process in Chrome so a page or tab
crash does not crash the whole browser decent memory management.
Chrome is fast reasonably secure (sandbox) good page
reliability handles many open tabs better than I.E.10.  Chrome site compatibility is

easily the best of all the major browsers I have and use them all but mostly Chrome.

Firefox latest version 20.0 is real decent a close a lot of chromes attributes equally apply here .
Close second to Chrome ,If Chrome dissapeared tommorow Firefox would fill in fine, excellent download manager
very customisable, fast and stable ,good page reliability, decent
security all around good browser.
no real pittfalls some prefer it and that's
not unreasonable at all.

Opera 12.15 latest is very good choice also no major
issues with it very useable. I can see why some like it.

Safari for windows is not so hot Apple is
killing Safari I suspect it is a well deserved mercy kill.

Re: IE10

Well, If you wait another 4 or 5 months for the WIN8 redressing, it will have IE11.

[ Edited ]

You mean win 8.1 , win 9 or whaterver and IE 11?

IE will still be insecure, unstable and buggy at least MS is consistant in that respect.

Re: IE10

By the time that some of us get around to buying Windows 8, Windows 9 will be released. Which begs the question, what happens 200 years from now after Windows 94, they can't have a Windows 95. Maybe Windows 95 B? oH, well, most of us will be gone by then. I'm bummed that IE 10 ON wIN 7, is not like IE 10 on Win8.
