Bad Customer Service need help on warrantee, exchange, return policy
A week ago I spent a few HOURS at an ATT direct dealership and the salesman was very nice and helpful, and the assistant manager. I purchased the new Galaxy 7S edge plus. With it I purchased a suggested Pelican protector and case for the phone as an added accessory to clip on my belt. I noticed today after cleaning the front of the phone there is a small crack in the left bottom corner. I tried to look up the manufacturer warrantee or policy of returns and/or exchange. I bought the phone thinking this phone is advertised as waterproof/screen shatter resistant. Now, I do not know if the phone was cracked or if it cracked putting it on or in my purse. I called the store to ask for help and tell them I may have been sold a bad phone. The man was rude, accusatory, said there was nothing he could do, laughed, asked me personal information and very rude, he had such belittling and condescending attitude, and told me I had to use my warrantee if I had one. I tried to explain I read the manufacturers warrantee and that is not what that states on the receipt. I also looked up the att return, exchange, warranty policies. It says within 14 days, others say 30, 90. I am beside myself. I have been an ATT customer for many many years, lately I've just received nothing but salespeople who are bloodthirsty to make a sale and not telling me the facts, even when I wanted to switch my cable and WiFi, to find out after sitting in the store all day trying to combine my services into a bundle that my area does not receive uverse and I can't get wifi unless it's DSL, and that my neighborhood only has 4 links and they were all taken, so after 5 hours I find out that I still have to have Brighthouse! I am beyond frustrated, I only want to become a minimalist, and by the time I left with the whole bogus package I could barely walk from sitting so long. So after all I just need to contact the proper channels for #1. Complaint..bad customer service. #2. Resolve my brand new phone exchange.
