am I the only one feeling ripped off

I paid $449 deposit at least that's what they said it was for uverse they told me the deposit will be applied to my bill every month only to get a bill a week later for almost $200 dollars when I called they told me no the $449 is a fee just to have uverse & it's non refundable I'm sorry but that's not what. A deposit is false advertising

This is not the regular phone support people, but a group of of specialists who are fanastic at "getting things done" and will see the issue resolved, unlike any number of companies' phone people who generally forget about the issue when the call terminates.

W/good ontime pay, you could get a $5 bill credit/mo repaying that $449 in about 7 1/2 years.

 

But they will not refund the whole $449.  ATT Customer Care could help if it's a specific problem another user had by having a fraud block on his credit reports.  Once that was cleared, no deposit was required. 😉

That's strange. I ordered my service a couple days ago and they came out today to install and I didn't have to pay any kind of deposit. I wonder what the difference wa between your Uverse order and mine.

The $449 deposit is only applied when the customer is deemed a credit risk because of their credit history.

Yea I dnt have any credit uverse is the only thing in my name besides my
cell phone
