    Uverse Blocking SMTP port 25

We have a small business account and Uverse is blocking Port 25. WE are strictly locked down for relaying, we need to be able to send mail out. How can we get it unlocked ? I know this is possibel and we need assistance.

    Thank you.

I suggest you click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your request. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

    Hey @mrg5000

You are correct, the U-verse Gateways do block the SMTP filter by default but, I'll be glad to assist you with this. I'm going to send you a Private Message that will land in your inbox and we will move forward from there. Thanks! Smiley Happy

Some were.  But you have posted late on a Saturday and they don't always read posts on weekends.  Come Monday your post may get overlooked.  A PM is much less likely to get missed.

    Up to you, though.

Yeah, I understand. Be assured I PM'd them already as well.

Sorry. Guess I'm a little aggravated at having spent most of the day troubleshooting firewalls, email servers, email clients - not to mention bouncing all-manner of authentication permutations off hosts and servers - just to arrive at the fact that the ISP themselves are blocking access.

I believe I am having the same problem with my account. Suddenly I was unable to access my 3rd party e-mail service using Mac Mail. If our SMTP 25 is being blocked I would like to have that removed. Thank you.

I have a problem with Uverse blocking my 80 and 8080 ports - is that the same problem?  I have talked to three different Uverse support people today and they have all checked my ports are configured correctly and are open (internally) but externally they cannot be accessed - by which I mean they look like they are open on the management utility and on the nat pinhole list.. but when you go to portchecker tools on the internet they confirm the ports are closed externally (and of course the websites I am trying to allow access to through the pinholes are inaccessible).  Can you help me with this Uverse techies?

If you can, my number is [edited for privacy – please do not post personal information] - call me after 6pm EST?  Thanks

No, AT&T doesn't block outbound or inbound port 80 by default.

Please click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your request. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelopein the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.

I doubt your problem is AT&T blocking port 80.  Would you like to describe your symptoms and troubleshooting that has brought you to that conclusion?

I have a very similar issue. I do web design, and in order to test out the things I make for clients, I need to be able to test the email functions therein. Kinda hard to do so with port 25 blocked.

You can test e-mail functions using the other available ports, or you can try clicking this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link and asking them to unblock it.

This is rather confusing.  I have sent a PM to support, with no response.  And when I call Tech Support they try and sale me a business account or a "Advanced Configuration" package with Connect Tech.

Unblocking port 25 is a part of advance configuration not covered by normal support....

So yes if desire the port unlocked need Connect Tech and this is billable....

    For normal settings....

@ATTDmitriyCM , can you see why this gentleman got no response to his PM?

@j4kp07 , I don't know what your mail volumes are, but why is using port 25 a requirement?  my thoughts posted a link to the settings pages for the AT&T relay servers, which you can use with the port 25 block in place?

I would like this as well (Port 25 unblocked).  Who do I get in touch with?

Do I understand it right, that the AT&T relays are no longer available to new customers?

    Thanks,

I sent a private message to the customer care link (green sticky message on top of page) and they called me 2 minutes later to do an account verification (you need to know your UVERSE pin#) and then they unblocked it.  Super quick and easy.

Sigh.  Did you think about using your mail provider's ports other than 25?

However, if you're bound and determined, and since you can't seem to see my earlier post that says the following, let me try again:
