Hi there @SamDream2!
This is an excellent question! I personally like to do my homework before making a device purchase. I will be pleased to assist you with this inquiry.
You can bring your own phone or tablet to AT&T if your device works on one of these GSM network frequencies:

Scroll to bottom to see full phone specs and bands. I'm 98% sure but won't take any chances. I'm not even sure if I'll buy the phone yet. I'm still waiting in the Galaxy Note 8 to come out. I'm not impressed by the S8+ to me not a huge leap in any respects. I won't buy the Note 8 unless it has minimum 6GB of memory. I rather enjoy the Touchwiz and different set up of navigation buttons Samsung has compared to other Android devices. However, Samsung is coming very close to Apple territory with small incremental changes and the public buys into it, shelling out huge sums. In the other hand, the Icult is still in full swing paying way too much money for devices without removeable storage and paying a premium for built in storage. I digress. I think I found a relatively comparable phone to quality and speed of Samsung without all the bloatware of what AT&T and Samsung throw on there. Thanks for all the help.
how many people are going to shell out 699 dollars for a phone from a company they never heard of? not many.... Apple and samsung sell phones because of the marketing machine they are.... This is great tech from the father of android BUT its only being sold on one carrier in the usa and thats sprint. You can buy it unlocked but they are going to have to fiance it or people will pass on it. That is the reason samsung fiances there phones just like apple and google now.
The only problem this phone has is just like all unlocked phones on att NO enhanced LTE services like wifi calling, volte, video calling and hdvoice. The one+ 5 is a better choice then this.... 539 gets you 128gb of storage and 8 gigs of ram or 479 gets you 64gb of storage and 6 gigs of ram.
